Terms of Use (EULA)

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use are the end user license agreement (EULA) between you and FishFactor. By creating an account, signing in, or using FishFactor you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old.

2. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

FishFactor has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You may not post, send, or share:

• Objectionable, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate content
• Harassment, bullying, or targeted abuse of another angler
• Threats of violence or content that encourages self-harm
• Hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
• Sexual, pornographic, or sexually suggestive content
• Content depicting or promoting illegal activity, including poaching, illegal netting, or fishing out of season or over limit
• Spam, scams, fraud, phishing, or unsolicited advertising
• Impersonation of another person, guide, agency, or organization
• Other anglers' private locations, personal or contact information posted without their consent
• Anything else that violates the FishFactor community standards described here

3. Moderation and enforcement

Every catch, comment, message, meetup, and profile can be reported from inside the app, and you can block any user at any time. Reports are stored and reviewed by FishFactor moderators, normally within 24 hours. We may remove content, hide it from other users, warn you, suspend your account, or terminate your account permanently — with or without notice — when content or behavior violates these terms. Repeat offenders are removed. There is no appeal obligation, but you may email us at fishfactorapp@gmail.com.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the catches, photos, and text you post. You grant FishFactor a license to store and display that content within the app and to use aggregated, non-identifying data to power features like hotspots and species insights. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you post, and for having the right to post it.

5. Subscriptions

FishFactor Premium is an auto-renewing subscription. Purchases made in the iOS app are billed through your Apple ID; purchases in the Android app are billed through Google Play; purchases on the web are billed through our payment processor. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your store account settings, or from your FishFactor profile for web purchases.

6. Fishing regulations

Regulation information in the app is for reference only and is not legal advice. You are solely responsible for following the current regulations of your state and any waters you fish. Always check with the official state agency before you fish.

7. Meetups and safety

Meetups are organized between users. FishFactor does not verify participants or supervise meetings. Use good judgment, meet in public places where possible, and follow local safety and boating rules.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranties. We aren't liable for lost fish, missed bites, weather surprises, or any indirect damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves. When the terms change materially you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing to use the community features.
